This weekend brings a great regional event to northeast Georgia – The 2021 Northeast Georgia Arts Tour.

The event is scheduled for Friday, Saturday & Sunday, June 11-13, 10AM – 5PM. The annual event happens only twice a year (June and November in 2021) and features some of the more well known artist studios and art-related retail outlets across six counties, including Habersham, White, Rabun, Towns, Union and Clay (in NC).

The Tour features multiple locations that specialize in paintings, pottery, folk art, jewelry, glass, mixed media, metal, photography, hand-crafted furniture, fiber, wood, and other art mediums. The Tour’s website has a complete list of all the locations on the Tour so you can plot out your travel itinerary for the day or for the weekend. Look for the yellow “ARTS TOUR” signs along the way directing you to the various artist exhibitions.

What’s great about the tour is that you can start anywhere you like on the course and visit as few or as many as you feel up to on each day. While travelling to each location on the tour you get to enjoy the wonderful mountain scenery along the way and you may see sights and discover places of interest that you never knew were there.

The weather conditions look promising for everyone to get outside this weekend and enjoy the northeast Georgia area and see a sample of what the art community in northeast Georgia has to offer!
